Position

The Reporting Analyst will be part of the Client Reporting team, an international and diverse team. In the reporting domain we take care of all relevant client and fund reporting. We make sure that the client experience is as high as possible whilst at the same time aiming to be efficient in everything that we do. We take care of our client’s investment and regulatory reporting and support our sales teams with fund relevant reporting.

Aegon Asset Management has built a comprehensive responsible investment approach and is constantly expanding Responsible Investment across the investment strategies. Reporting the various RI topics to our clients is an important and growing part of the work being done by the Reporting team. With a client base on international level, combined with increased regulatory demands, our environment is quickly changing, and our pace of change needs to be high.

We are seeking for a Reporting Analyst who aspires a career within asset or investment management. You are willing to grow and develop yourself in becoming a reporting professional. This role offers you exposure to our Aegon Group Clients, external fund administrator, external auditor and Industry regulators, as well as working with multiple internal departments such as portfolio managers.

Other key responsibilities:

  • Contribute to the accurate and timely production of external and internal reporting.
  • Work closely with a variety of stakeholders; to increase awareness of the team and its processes, plus maintain and develop working relationships.
  • Continuously identify and implement process improvements.
  • Participate in different internal projects / change initiatives.
  • Actively support the collective growth of a team with great potential.

Financial Development Program

This position is part of the Financial Development Program. The program is based on job rotation. Every two years, you will switch to another business unit in The Hague: Aegon The Netherlands, Aegon Asset Management, Aegon Group and Aegon Bank. These rotations (3 times max.) facilitate your development as a broad professional. Besides these rotations, we offer you everything to boost your development:

  • Extended training program (a.o. communication -, project management -and leadership skills)
  • International assignments
  • Individual coaching by program coordinators
  • Possibility to obtain professional accreditation such as CFA

Qualifications

As a Reporting Analyst you have a proactive attitude towards tackling issues and able to deal thoroughly with ad hoc requests. You are flexible, able to speedily set priorities and enjoy managing different challenges at a time. Also, you are customer focused and feel comfortable engaging with stakeholders from different departments. Besides, you bring the following:

  • A Bachelor or Master’s degree in e.g. Business Administration or Finance & Investment.
  • 0 – 2 years of relevant working experience.
  • Available from May/ June.
  • Strong analytical skills and problem-solving abilities, able to deal with difficult problems.
  • Experience with Excel. Knowledge of Business objects and/or Reporting systems such as Vermillion would be an advantage.
  • A sound personality with good communication skills in English and in Dutch (both written and oral).
